MESSAGE FROM THE CHIEF OF STAFF
Ronald S. Fishbach, MD
Although I was born in a small town east of New York City, I consider myself a Californian.
I came to Los Angeles in 1969 to finish my medical training at UCLA. After completion of my infectious disease fellowship, I went into private practice which I continue at two offices.
My practice consists of both internal medicine and infectious disease. I’ve been on staff at St. Vincent Medical Center for more than 30 years.
I have been married to my wife, Connie, for 38 years and have two sons, Daniel and Stephen, who are 33 and 31, respectively. My hobbies include exercise, skiing, movies, opera, and cooking.
I am honored to be chief of staff. I plan to work on making committee meetings more efficient and forging a closer working relationship between the medical staff and other parts of the hospital family including the board of directors.
I would also like to integrate the general medical staff with our related specialty divisions such as the House Ear Institute.
