Dr Shah is the Associate Director of the Multi-Organ Transplant Center at St Vincent Medical Center.

He received his Medical degree from the University of Calcutta in India. This was followed by residency in Internal Medicine at SUNY Buffalo in New York where he became the chief resident. He completed fellowships in Nephrology, geriatrics/gerontology, and Kidney and Pancreas transplantation at University of California, Los Angeles and remained on faculty at UCLA.

He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Geriatrics and is certified by the American society of Transplantation.

Dr Shah remains actively involved in basic and clinical research in transplantation. He has published numerous abstracts and articles in Nephrology and Transplantation. He is a member of many professional societies including the American Society of Nephrology and the American Society of Transplantation.
