Diabetes Education Program

Learn how to plan meals.  Understand how to use your medication most effectively.  Ask questions about monitoring your blood glucose levels.  You’ll receive education answers to these questions and others when you attend the Comprehensive Diabetes Self-Management Education program at St. Vincent Medical Center.  The free four-class series is designed to help individuals living with diabetes gain new skills and learn to control their blood glucose and live healthier lives.

The class series, which is offered in both English and Spanish, is based on the National Standards for Diabetes Self Management Education.

The Diabetes Educator at St. Vincent Medical Center also visits patients in the hospital to help them manage their condition.

If you or a loved one has diabetes, please call (213) 484-7453 to register and find out more information about this important educational series.
