Through fund development, stewardship, community partnerships and outreach, the St. Vincent Foundation works to advance St. Vincent Medical Center's primary mission: to serve the sick and the poor.
Foundation History
Formed in 1989, the St. Vincent Foundation has helped to develop the additional resources necessary to keep St. Vincent Medical Center at the forefront of patient care and service to the community.
The Foundation Board of Directors is comprised of business and civic leaders who generously volunteer their time, talents and financial resources. They work with the Foundation staff to raise funds and other support for current and future needs. These funds come through individual, corporate, and foundation gifts, planned gifts, and special events.
The Foundation's efforts have played a major role in the success of a number of programs and projects at the hospital, including:
• The construction and expansion of the Seton Guest Center
• The Community Mammography Program
• The Liver Cancer Screening Project in Los Angeles' Korean community
• The acquisition of medical equipment including a state-of-the-art digital cardiac ultrasound machine.
