Surgical

One of the ways to begin treating a cancerous tumor is surgery. It is often a delicate and always a precise procedure in which a lesion, or tumor, is removed from an area within the body such as the prostate, colon, breast, etc.

The Cancer Treatment Center has surgeons on staff who are experts in their field. If the patient's oncologist recommends surgery as the first method of treatment, rest assured that the care received will be superior.

Treatment of cancer may begin and end with surgery, but there may also be the need for additional cancer treatments. The surgeons work closely with radiation oncologists and the medical oncology staff to create the most concise treatment plan for each individual case.
